Equine Facilitated Constellations
Equine Facilitated Constellations combine the principles of Systemic Constellations with a deep understanding of equine behaviour to create a unique approach to personal and professional development. By working alongside horses in a way that prioritises their welfare, autonomy and natural behaviour, practitioners create a space where hidden patterns, relationships and dynamics can be explored with greater awareness.
At Equillation, horses are never expected to heal, perform or play a role. Instead, they remain free to simply be horses, allowing authentic interactions to emerge naturally. It is this ethical, horse-centred approach that sits at the heart of our training and makes Equillation's Diploma in Equine Facilitated Constellations truly unique.
Our Horse-Centered Approach
At Equillation, we honour these traditional foundations while integrating horses into the constellation process in a way that remains true to our philosophy of ethical, horse-centred practice.

Our horses are never asked to perform, play a role, or carry responsibility for a client's healing. They remain within their natural environment, living with their herd and always free to choose whether or not they wish to engage.
We do not take horses away from their world; instead, we invite people into theirs.

It is our experience that when horses are allowed to remain authentically themselves, free from expectation and without any need to "do" anything, they often become a profound part of the constellation process. Their presence, movement, and interactions can offer a unique perspective within the wider systemic field.

This is why a deep understanding of equine behaviour is fundamental to our training. Before we can invite horses into this work, we believe we must first understand their world, recognise their communication, and ensure that their welfare, emotional wellbeing, and autonomy remain central to every interaction.
