The Diploma

At Equillation, we honour the wisdom of horses and the power of systemic constellations to support healing and transformation. Our approach blends academic depth, experiential learning, and personal growth, always grounded in ethical practice and equine welfare

• 20-month professional qualification: 
  Our carefully structured programme allows students to develop knowledge, practical skills and confidence over time, providing opportunities to integrate learning between modules.

• Blended learning
  The diploma combines interactive online teaching, independent study, in-person practical training and monthly live support sessions.

• Applied practice
  Students gradually build their facilitation skills through guided practical exercises, observation, peer learning and supervised practice.

Assessment has been designed to encourage understanding rather than memorisation. Throughout the programme students demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways, allowing them to develop both academic knowledge and practical competence.

Assessments include:

• Reflective journals to encourage critical thinking and personal development.

• Case studies demonstrating application of theory to practice.

• Written assignments exploring key concepts in depth.

• Knowledge assessments to confirm understanding of core principles.

• Practical assessment demonstrating safe and ethical facilitation skills.

Learning is interactive, reflective and experiential. Alongside tutor-led teaching, students participate in discussion, practical exercises, observation, independent study and reflective practice, ensuring learning can be applied confidently within real-world settings.

Professional Accreditation

• Level 5 Diploma  accredited by the Association for Animals, Horticultural and Equine Practitioners (AAHEP)

• Independently reviewed to ensure it meets the required educational standards at Level 5.

• Delivered by tutors who hold a minimum of a Level 5 qualification.

• Upon successful completion of the course, graduates are automatically eligible to apply for registration with the AAHEP.

At Equillation, we believe that financial circumstances should not be the sole barrier to professional learning.  As a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to making high-quality professional education as accessible as possible. Flexible payment options, including monthly and quarterly instalments, are available to help spread the cost of the programme. As our resources allow, we also hope to offer an Equillation Professional Development Bursary to support applicants who demonstrate a genuine commitment to learning but may otherwise be unable to undertake the programme due to financial circumstances.
